Returning after their adventures in the mountains Leanora and Ashley are to be separated by distance but not by heart.
Due to the unforeseen circumstances Leanora is made Ashley's Nanny and moves to Colorado and is accepted as part of the Hamilton family.
Their adventures include a car accident that leaves Leanora with a severely injured shoulder, then after it is healed comes a trip to the Italian Riviera. There, on the first night a very inapt burglar is accosted by Leanora. The family leaves a short while later to take a train trip across Italy, Spain, and France.
After six weeks abroad they return home to learn that the Hamilton family will unexpectedly increase.
Love and a sense of family have conquered all.
